Alongside our impressive selection of Children’s workshops the DTRH team have put together a range of workshops for the adults too. Come along to Doune and experience a wide selection of creative experiences from songwriting, yoga and stagecraft through to spoon carving, upcycling and life drawing. Iona Fyfe Folksong Workshop
Join Aberdeenshire singer Iona Fyfe in a fun workshop which will delve into Folksong reflecting different regions and industries of Scotland and the British Isles.

Christopher Ferrie (of Iona Fyfe Band) Guitar Workshop
A guitar workshop for all ages which focuses on teaching accompaniment styles, highlighting the guitar as a versatile instrument. Suitable for able-players.

Charlie Grey Fiddle Workshop
The fiddle workshop will focus on tune-teaching for fiddle and broadening participants repertoire. Suitable for able-players.

Capoeira with Mao No Chao
Work with a Scottish Capoeira Angola group in this fun and active workshop that focuses on stretching, expression, body balance, music, singing and capoeria moves.

Rag and Bone Workshop
Rag and Bone Workshop creates a space where people can collaboratively, build, play and make using reclaimed and salvaged materials the emphasis is on on sharing useful basic woodworking skills whilst making something sculptural and functional to take away.

The Lost Soup Kitchen – Spoon Carving Workshop
Lost Soup Kitchen will facilitate practical and meaningful situations where we can come together, make objects and share food.
Participants are invited to hand carve their own soup spoon from locally sourced Scottish hardwoods, expert tuition will be available from workshop leaders. Participants will also be encouraged to prepare and enjoy a meal together which could potentially be eaten with said soup spoon!

Stagecraft Workshop with Fallope and the Tubes
DIY prop-making and stagecraft workshop with Fallopé and The Tubes РAdults and Small ones welcome. Come and make some percussion and fanfare to play along the performances!

Tiny Zine Swap Shop with Howling Mouse
Let our Tiny Zine experts help you make your own Tiny Zine about whatever you want, self-publish a VERY limited run, and then Swap it for another zine in our Tiny Zine Swap Shop!

Eco Jewellery- Upcycling Workshop
Learn how to re-use bike inner tube and t-shirts destined for landfill to create fantastic personalized jewellery that looks like leather.

A Protest of Peace: Printmaking workshop
Come and create an abstract, cross cultural peace poster with this London art collective. Using collected translations for the word peace and different cultural and religious symbols, they aim to show different representations of the word and how beautiful and shared it’s meaning is.

Contact Improv with The Glasgow Jam
Contact improvisation class led by Glasgow dance artists and live musicians. Start with exploring the key principles of Contact Improvisation and dance, and then take part in a CI Jam to harness the festive spirit.

Yoga and Meditation
Start the day with a yoga and meditation class led by Spiros Kourkoulos, he will guide you through gentle yoga positions and end with a guided meditation. This is suitable for people with or without experience in these two practices.

Illustration with The Grey Earl
Come and design your very own logo or poster for Doune the Rabbit Hole, with tips and trick from local illustrator The Grey Earl develop your illustration skills. Open to all.

Life Drawing
Working from a nude model this life drawing class, run by tutor Sandy Grant is ideal for beginners and those wanting to try out life drawing in a free and relaxed atmosphere.

Bowie Sing-Along with Glad Cafe
Come and join in with our cathartic sing a-long before the Glad Cafe Choir take to the stage. Learn the arrangements and harmonies for some of your favourite Bowie songs, and raise your voice in memory of one of the greats.
